| A comedy about a free-spirited girl who courts experience and a man-about-town who agrees to become an unwed father. Sweetie Appleyard is a barefoot girl who disperses loose pages of poetry from her tree-top perch down upon the heads of startled passers-by. Her distressed father suspects Sweetie’s bizarre behavior stems from a childhood incident…an amorous but unsatisfactory episode in a coalbin.
